Privacy Policy for ColorDood

1) Summary

• - No account required. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
• - Your gallery stays on your device. Saved artwork, coloring progress, and exports are stored locally.
• - On first launch, we ask for your birth year only. This is stored on your device to help show age-appropriate ads. We do not collect any other personal information you type into the App.
• - The free App includes ads. Google AdMob may collect device and usage data to show and measure ads.
• - ColorDood does not include AI text-input or image-generation features.
• - We do not sell your personal information.

2) Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

The App does not require registration and does not include features where you submit free-form text or prompts. The only information you actively provide is:

• - Birth year — on first launch, before ads load, you may be asked to enter your birth year (four digits, for example 1990). This is used only to determine whether child-directed or general-audience advertising settings should apply, in line with applicable laws such as COPPA and GDPR age thresholds. We do not ask for your full date of birth, name, or contact details.
• - Artwork you create — coloring progress, gallery items, timelapse recordings, and exports are created by you inside the App. They are stored on your device unless you choose to share or save them elsewhere.

2.2 Information stored locally on your device

To provide core functionality, the App stores data on your device using local storage. This may include:

• - Birth year and age-gate completion status (for ad suitability)
• - Whether child-directed or general-audience ad treatment applies
• - Saved gallery artwork and thumbnails
• - Theme preference (light or dark mode)
• - Ambient sound on/off preference
• - Ad-unlock status for premium pages, tools, palettes, sounds, and exports
• - Daily reminder settings (enabled/disabled, time preferences, snooze state)
• - Sketch usage history used for in-app features such as Daily Calm

This information is not transmitted to our servers because we do not operate backend user accounts for ColorDood. Your birth year is kept on your device and is not sent to us.

2.3 Information collected by third parties

When you use the free version of the App, third-party services may automatically collect certain information:

Ad partners may use cookies, SDKs, or similar technologies to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your device settings, age-gate result, and applicable law. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3) How we use information

We use information only as needed to:

• - Provide coloring, gallery, export, and sharing features
• - Remember your preferences and unlock status on your device
• - Use your birth year on device to configure age-appropriate advertising (child-directed vs. general-audience ads)
• - Show ads in the free App and offer optional rewarded videos to unlock certain content or features
• - Schedule optional local daily reminders you enable
• - Maintain, secure, and improve the App
• - Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your gallery artwork for advertising profiling, and we do not sell personal information.

4) Permissions and device access

The App may request the following permissions, depending on your platform and the features you use:

• - Internet — ads and font loading
• - Notifications — optional daily coloring reminders (scheduled locally on your device)
• - Photos / media library — when you choose to save an image or timelapse video to your photo library
• - Storage (older Android versions) — when saving exports on legacy Android devices

Sharing artwork via your device's share sheet is initiated by you. Recipients and destinations are outside our control.

5) Advertising

ColorDood is free and supported by advertising through Google AdMob. Ad formats may include banners, sponsored cards in the swipe feed, interstitial ads, rewarded video ads, and app-open ads shown after extended time away from the App.

Before ads load for the first time, the App asks for your birth year so we can apply child-directed or general-audience ad settings on your device. Users below the applicable age threshold (13 in most regions, 16 in certain EEA/UK/CH locales) receive child-directed, family-appropriate ad treatment.

You can watch optional rewarded ads to temporarily unlock certain coloring pages, premium tools, color palettes, ambient sounds, or export options. Watching ads is always optional for features that require an unlock.

You can limit ad tracking on your device through your system settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). Even with these settings, non-personalized ads may still appear.

6) Data retention and deletion

• - On-device data (including birth year, gallery items, and preferences) remains on your device until you delete individual gallery items, clear the App's data in system settings, or uninstall the App.
• - Third-party data is retained according to each provider's policies. We do not control how long Google retains data its ad services receive.

Because we do not operate user accounts, the primary way to delete App-related data is to uninstall ColorDood or clear its storage from your device settings.

7) Children's privacy

ColorDood is designed for a general audience, including families and children. We do not knowingly collect personal information such as name or contact details from anyone, including children under 13.

We ask for birth year on first launch to help configure age-appropriate advertising. The App contains ads. Where required, we configure advertising in line with applicable child-privacy and family-friendly advertising requirements. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions, please contact us.

8) International users

ColorDood is available in multiple countries. If you use the App from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate (including the United States). Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

9) Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through the App. Network communications with third-party services use encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information.

• - Disable daily reminders in App settings
• - Delete gallery items inside the App
• - Clear App data or uninstall the App to remove local storage, including birth year
• - Adjust device ad-tracking and privacy settings
• - Contact us to ask questions or submit a privacy request

Because most data is stored locally and we do not operate user accounts, we may not be able to retrieve or delete data that exists only on your device after it has been removed.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App. Continued use of ColorDood after an update means you accept the revised policy.
